A 3D fishing adventure across six worlds and thirteen places to fish: a lake with a village dock, a mill creek and a pond in the woods; a bayou and a drowned cypress forest; a frozen lake you fish through holes in the ice and a glacier river with a waterfall; a sunset pier and a reef lagoon; a drowned harbour and a singing sea cave; and the Veil, where the water remembers starlight. Walk about, talk to the locals, take on their quests, find treasure chests, tall-tale pages and hidden fishing spots. The fishing is the heart of it: aim and time your cast, watch the float or work your lure the way the fish likes it, strike on the bite, then fight - reel, ease off when it runs, keep the tension out of the red, lean the rod against it, and land it. 131 species, each with its own weights, habits, favourite baits and lures, times and weather, from bluegill to thirty-kilo salmon and sharks; ten rare variants (golden, albino, giant, glowing, shadow, lunar, storm, crystal, ancient, corrupted); trophies and personal bests; and legends with their own rules - Old Whiskers on rainy nights, the Frost Sovereign under falling snow, the Koi Empress at the full moon. The day turns in 24 minutes and the weather changes the fishing: rain brings them up, storms bring the strange ones. Sell, keep or release every catch; buy better rods, reels, lines, hooks, baits and lures; mount trophies; fill the journal; dress your angler; earn titles, trinkets and achievements, and daily challenges. Fish with friends online: make a room, share its four-letter code, fish the same water at the same hour in the same weather with up to seven others, and run competitions for the biggest fish, the most fish, the most valuable, the rarest or the most weight. Nothing costs real money.
How to play
Keyboard and mouse: WASD walks (Shift runs), drag to turn the camera, E talks, opens and starts fishing at the water. Fishing: point where to cast and hold Space or the mouse button, let go on the green. With bait, strike when the float goes under; with a lure, work it (hold to reel, tap to twitch, hold-release to jig, Shift for fast). On the bite press Space. In the fight hold to reel, stop when the fish runs, A and D lean the rod, W and S set the drag, and land it when it tires. Tab changes tackle, Esc is the menu, J, M and Q open the journal, map and quests, and 1 to 4 are emotes. A gamepad works too. On a phone: the left thumb walks and aims, drag on the right to look, and the big button casts, strikes, hooks, reels and lands. How to Play in the menu has the rest.
